Felix Asemota graduated from the University of Ife in June 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management, from the same university, in June 1999. He further trained at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Institute in 1991, on Balance of Payments and International Trade.

Felix started his career as a research economist at the central bank of Nigeria where he worked in several divisions including money and banking, the oil and gas sector. He leads the planning and execution of production and marketing operations for North America.
